Our Black Gay Diaspora Podcast is a global biweekly platform where Erick Taylor Woodby interviews Black LGBTQIA citizens who share about their countries and professions. Scattering, diversity and relational networks of multi-local connections are largely what inspired some queer theorists and activists to find in diaspora a useful alternative to earlier considerations of gay/lesbian community and identity politics based on the ethnicity model.

Illuminating the complex nature of queerness in the postmodern world, Queer Diasporas contributes to the advancement of gay and gay diaspora studies. It will be important to those gay diaspora in cultural, literary, and postcolonial studies. Many in diasporas belong to the LGBTQIA+ community, including those who were forced to emigrate due to their gender identities and expressions and/or sexual orientations.
