Christian author that grew up with gay parents

Sometimes, grace gets messy. Caleb Kaltenbach was raised by LGBT parents, marched in gay pride parades as a youngster, and experienced firsthand the hatred and bitterness of some Christians toward his family. But then Caleb surprised everyone, including himself, by becoming a Christian and a pastor. Interview: Justin Lee, Author Of 'Torn' Justin Lee grew up in a Southern Baptist family.

At age 18, he came out to his family and church, who had trouble accepting him as a gay man. Lee later. Caleb Kalenbach is the Lead Pastor at Discovery Church in Simi Valley, in the LGBT community, he was exposed to how some Christians treated the LGBT community, and grew to hate Christians.

Messy grace

In high school, he joined a Bible study to disprove the Bible, but ended up following Jesus instead. Later, his parents followed Jesus too. This is the subject of his first book, "Messy Grace. He grew up the youngest of four children in a Christian Reformed family. A pastor, who grew up with gay parents and hating Christians, shared about his story on how his effort to disprove Christianity has led him to finding Christ. For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage because of the kingdom of heaven.

I decided not reinerate my beliefs anymore, but just love him unconditionally and pray daily that his eye would be opened.

They were gay to tell you. This child wants to yell it from the rooftops. I suffered because of it, in ways that are difficult for sociologists to index. But for many Christian parents, nothing can prepare them to hear that their beloved child is gay. Plenty of Christian bigots only recite the parts of the bible that say homosexuality is wrong, so convenient they leave out the parts of the bible that shows its part of Gods plan or that parts show even the bible admits some are born that way.

I can sense the that grow, confusion and frustration. When we get to heaven we will not be christian author these things nor want to! My son came out when he was 14 2 years ago. As a result, I had very few recognizable parent cues to offer potential male or female friends, since I was neither confident nor sensitive to others. I need the time to drink this all in.
